Treasury 360° Europe 2026 main stage panel speaker slot for banker

This is a crazy one, but we’ve done it before – check the video below. It could well turn out to be your marketing deal of the year so let us sketch the setup. This session initiative, on the topic of funding terms, produces the opportunity for two bank representatives to take part in a panel in an afternoon main stage block at Treasury 360° Europe 2026 – the only sponsor slots on the main stage in this conference – and these slots are hereby up for sale. Do you dare?

The setup was an initiative of conference chairman Simon Hesse Hoffmann; we ran it in the closing block at Treasury 360° Nordic 2025 (see article here and full-session video here below) – and will now naturally repeat the success with Europe! The panel session, titled “Funding: Who sets the terms – the bank or you?”, will see Simon question panellists both from the corporate and the bank sides. (The concept had in fact originated in 2023, with the plenary panel “So what I need from you …”, which focussed on how the corporates source competence from an advisory firm or a bank – find article here and full-session video also here below.)

The session centres on the management of funding transactions – scrutinising how treasurers most efficiently should take ownership of the process, including the crucial relation with their bank(s). The session format serves to build a humorous contrast between the deep content level – where true seniors from “both sides” share nuanced insight into the factors that make the crucial corporate-to-bank collaboration successful – versus the “combat” framing that first meets the eye.

This is how Simon originally phrased his vision: “Group funding is a core part of treasury and a core part of corporate banking. Why do funding negotiations often turn into a lengthy process, especially under time pressure? Are banks demanding more security than necessary, leaving corporates to manage compliance burdens and facing limited financial flexibility? And why do negotiations so often shift focus to less important issues – a ‘lawyers’ dance’ where everyone already knows how it will end? In this panel, two bank representatives and two corporates will debate these questions, touching on whether the bank and its legal advisors are truly focused on the key points or if they’re contributing to unnecessary delays. Join us as we explore why these challenges arise and how they could be addressed.”

So, what’s the optimal profile for the banker you should put there? Simon again: “An extrovert type who can handle direct and – for the sake of arguments in a panel – ‘provocative’ statements. Our treasurers could be super well spoken, so I presume some type with calm enough in themselves as to push back on statements and arguments …”

On the corporate side we are super proud to see last year’s Nordic contestants back in the ring for Europe: Rasmus Olesen of European Energy, and Kasper Christensen of Pandora.

Only two slots exist, at a fee as an add-on to a sponsorship package, and they are hereby up for grabs – one each for the two first banks to make the purchase. You buy it here in the webshop and you pay by transfer or card as you choose. (You would normally not need personal contact with us over your purchase here, but of course we are available as always if you have an actual question.)

As you stand up to this unique challenge, you will shine. And when you shine in this session, you’ll shine across the European treasury industry.
